( Someone told me that your resume MUST start with this question )
[ Obvious answer of which is "TO GET THIS JOB" ]
{ But still.. }
I have never written any resume in my whole life, as I found it to be the least creative thing to write.. So instead of calling it a RESUME, I will call it a STORY..
Name of which is
I WONDER WHY I BECAME A WANDERER IN THE WONDERLAND OF WORDS..
The STORY began in the Golden Era of 80's, when Creativity was at it's best! While Pre-School taught me alphabates and words, High-School taught me to make sentences out of it;
The School beyond the walls, that is TELEVISION and RADIO, taught me to use the words in a creatively milnimalistic way to grab attention of the listener and make them believe in you. This encouraged me to write my own speeches and stand-up acts and made me the popular BOL-BACCHHAN of my school..
This passion of words drew me to RUIA COLLEGE,MUMBAI; which is a GURUKUL of creative people, where I was an active part of the theatre group.
There I wrote a few skits, street plays, stand-up acts and grabbed appreciation as well as a
Gold Medal for The Best Stand-Up Comedian in the Mumbai University's Youth Festival..
Then I got an opporunity to work in a post production studio, named
STUDIO VSX, where I successfully ventured as a Sound Engineer and
an IN-HOUSE CREATIVE HEAD. While working there I got associated with
developing and recording content for A.I.R., ZEE MARATHI, CARTOON NETWORK, NICKELODEON and many other clients related to advertising.
Being the "A" of popular marathi band "SAY" I penned and vocalized a few songs for our album, BREAKUP KE BAAD
and a musical animated series BACKSTREET BHAUZ on 9X JHAKAAS.
I recently penned lyrics for an upcoming show on ETV MARATHI,
named ZUNJ MARATHMOLI..
To focus on my real passion that is WORDS I started off
working as a Freelance Writer 3 years back.
I wrote and directed 2 short-films for 48 HOURS FILM PROJECT,MUMBAI;
named ISS MOD SE JAATE HAIN..(2011)
and NO ONE KILLED COFFEE..(2012)
and achieved words of appreciation from judges,
Mr.Nagesh Kukunoor, Mrs.Dolly Thakur
and bagged awards such as
SPECIAL MENTION-JURY AWARD
and AUDIENCE FAVOURITE FILM AWARD.
Also wrote Promotional Title Song for Marathi Movie,TOURING TALKIES. Recently wrote and sung a marathi song, HEY YOU!, released on this Valentine's.
For which I did a promotional ad campaign too which
got viral on the social networks, along with the song.
Along with the short films I have been writing Cartoon Series and Jingles for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Sonic Channel
(list of which is given on the left).
A story MUST have a Happy Ending. But I am incapable of ending this STORY, as end of it lies in your favourable response. And it will be a new beginning in the story of A WANDERER IN THE WONDERLAND OF WORDS..
With warm regards
